Become a Chartered Development Finance Analyst

The Institute of Chartered Development Finance Analysts is a duly constituted professional body established to promote excellence, ethics, and competence in development finance in Ghana. The Institute is legally registered under the Professional Bodies Act, 1973 (NRCD 143) of Ghana. It is fully mandated to regulate and standardise the development finance profession, as well as to advance development finance education and practice within the country.
As a recognised professional body, ICDFA is authorised to:
Develop and publish nationally relevant development finance standards and frameworks
Accredit academic and professional programs in development finance and related disciplines
Certify and license development finance analysts based on defined competency, ethics, and professional development requirements
Promote continuous professional development (CPD) and lifelong learning among practitioners
Serve as an advisory and reference institution on development finance practice for public and private sector organisations
The accreditation system of the ICDFA is anchored in competency-based education, professional ethics, and alignment with global best practices, while remaining responsive to Ghana’s socioeconomic and institutional context. Accredited programs are assessed against clearly defined academic, professional, and practical criteria to ensure relevance, rigour, and industry applicability.
