FUNCTIONS OF THE INSTITUTE
The functions of the Institute are to advance and promote the development finance profession. To achieve its functions, the Institute of Chartered Development Finance Analysts (ICDFA) is mandated under the Professional Bodies Act, 1973 (NRCD 143), to:
- Provide the training and conduct qualifying examinations for membership of the Institute, and prescribe and approve courses of study for the examinations;
- Establish, keep and maintain a register of Chartered Development Finance Analysts;
- Set standard and ensure the observance of ethical standards and professional conduct among members of the development finance profession
- Organise continuing professional development courses for members of the Institute; and
- Provide consultancy services in development finance to public and private sector institutions.
