Examination Structure
The Institute of Chartered Development Finance Analysts (ICDFA) conducts professional examinations designed to train and certify Development Finance practitioners and serves as the main pathway to becoming a recognized Chartered Development Finance Analyst, which is made up of three levels.
Foundation Stage
- Development Finance and the Financial System
- Financial and Quantitative Analysis for Decision-making
- Law and Financial Services Regulations
- Trade Finance
- Corporate Finance
- Public Sector Finance
Professional Stage 1
- Non-Interest Banking and Investment
- Project Finance and Management
- Green and Sustainable Finance
- International Finance for Development
Professional Stage 2
- Integrated Project, Entrepreneurship and SME Credit Analysis
- Impact Investing and Blended Finance
- Leadership, Stakeholders Engagement and Sustainability
- Program Management and Practice
EXAMINATION PERIOD
Examinations are held twice a year, April, and October. There is no order for the selection of courses for examination registration; candidates are however expected to complete one part or at least be left with one subject before proceeding to the next part.
