Membership Categories
ICDFA membership category is a testament to your level of competence, knowledge, and impact in your profession or workplace. It affirms the quality and depth of your professional capability to workmates, clients, and potential employers.
There are different membership categories for different levels of experience for people working in the Development Finance profession, from a Student Member building their skills for the future to a Fellow who has a proven record of Development Finance work experience and support for the development of the profession.
Student Members
A Student Member is someone who has been registered and enrolled to take an examination under the Professional Qualifying Examination Program.
Holders of any of the following qualifications are eligible to apply to write the Institute’s Professional Qualifying Examinations as Student Members.
Recognized Degrees, Masters, Graduate Diplomas, and other professional Qualifications.
Full Members
A person is qualified to be enrolled as a Full Member of the Institute and recognized as a Chartered Development Finance Analyst if that person has passed the prescribed examination conducted by the Institute with at least three years of working experience, is in middle-level management in the organization, and satisfies any other conditions that the Council may determine.
Fellow
A person may be qualified to be enrolled as a Fellow of the Institute if that person has acquired at least ten (10) years of practical experience in development finance practice and has made a significant contribution towards the improvement of the status of the Institute and Development Finance.
